Chinaman’s Beach, Rosherville Reserve – Rosherville Reserve flows into Chinaman’s Beach.
If we’re heading to Balmoral Beach and it’s jam packed then try Chinaman’s Beach, there’s plenty of parking.
Chinaman’s Beach is a small sheltered beach which looks across Middle Harbour to Clontarf and Sydney Harbour National Park.
Chinaman’s Beach lies just 500m south of the Spit. The 230 m long beach faces northeast and is bordered by rocks and rising slopes at each end.
Chinaman’s Beach backs onto a flat grassy area, formerly a Chinese market garden, now occupied by 3 ha Rosherville Park.
Rosherville Reserve is perfect for picnics, kicking a ball, throwing your frisbee. Let your kids run around & play games in the shaded playground games if want to wear them out. Even your dogs are allowed off-leash on weekdays.
This excellent family beach but there’s not much shade so make sure to bring an umbrella. You want to pack your Webber because there are no BBQ’s in the Mosman area.
This sheltered beach with its low wind waves is an ideal place for families who love watersports like windsurfers, kayakers, and swimmers. Just be careful if swimming as the beach slopes into deep water.
One small interesting observation. Be aware of the road coming down to the park (Cyprian Road also not hard to miss the turn.)
