Laycock Walk is a pedestrian link, which provides convenient access to Mascot Station and runs from Coward Street to John Street in Mascot. It is located in the Mascot Station precinct and is used by commuters to access the station from Coward Street. Laycock Walk was formerly known as Laycock Street and was converted into a pedestrian only walkway in 2012. It is named after Aaron Laycock a former Mayor of North Botany (Mascot). Laycock served as an Alderman from 1888 to 1910 and was Mayor three times. Laycock is remembered for arranging the plans and specifications to be drawn up for Mascot Town Hall, the current Coronation Hall.
