Little Bay Beach – Little Bay

Little Bay Beach – Little Bay

Little Bay Beach would have to be one of the hardest beaches to get to.

Take Pine Avenue off Anzac Parade, and there is parking on the street.

Accessing this secluded beach you have to drive through the old Prince Henry Hospital Park then head down the steep timber staircase.

Little Bay Beach is one of Sydney’s undiscovered jewels. A ‘secret’ beach is popular with locals. It’s off the beaten track, so it’s mainly locals in the know, living in the new units on the site of the old Hospital, who hang this beach.

Little Bay has a semicircular shaped east-facing bay, which is 100 m wide at its shallow rocky entrance & crystal clear sea water.

Little Bay Beach is well protected from large coastal swells making it perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Its golden sands are popular with families while the rock ledges to the north and south are well-known, but sometimes dangerous, fishing spots.

Public toilets and change rooms are located on the timber staircase about halfway down to the beach.

Little Bay Beach has no BBQ’s, no playground. It’s just fantastic crystal clear sea water and its protected by the rocks,

Before you head down to the beach, grab a slushie or Coffee at Café LB 2036.

The beach is not patrolled by Randwick City Lifeguards or Surf Lifesavers.

Dogs, alcohol and glass bottles are not permitted on the beach area.
