Come & discover Macquarie Lighthouse Vaucluse NSW 2030.
The Macquarie Lightstation is Australia’s oldest lighthouse, and it’s still in operation today. During a guided tour, you can climb the stairs to the top for magnificent uninterrupted harbour and city views.
Originally designed by convict architect Francis Greenway (who received a pardon for a job well done), the Macquarie Lighthouse was constructed in 1818 and rebuilt in 1883. You can explore the grounds year round as part of the Great Coastal Walk, or sign up for a guided tour to learn the history of the lighthouse and climb the 100 steps to the top.
